To make artificial intelligence as accessible as possible to the African market.
That sentence does a lot of work, so it is worth being precise about what we mean by accessible. Not a free tier. Not a translated interface bolted onto a product designed elsewhere. We mean systems that a business here can actually buy, run and keep running: priced against local revenue, operable by the staff already on the payroll, and resilient to the infrastructure that genuinely exists.
Most of what is written about AI and Africa treats the continent as a market to eventually reach. We are not reaching anywhere. We are already here, building for the businesses around us, in the conditions they operate in.
What we design against.
Every studio has a set of assumptions baked into its work. These are ours, and they are the reason our systems behave differently from software written for a different market.
Bandwidth is not free and not steady
Prepaid data is a real line in a household or small-business budget, and coverage drops without warning. We build for offline-first behaviour, small payloads, aggressive caching and graceful degradation rather than a spinner over a dead connection.
The device is shared, and it is not new
The phone running your system may be four generations old, low on storage, and passed between three people on a shift. Interfaces have to be legible, forgiving and cheap to render on hardware that will not be replaced next year.
Power is a scheduling problem
Outages are planned around, not panicked about. Systems need to survive an unclean shutdown mid-transaction, resume without a person intervening, and never lose work that somebody already did.
Your data has to stay yours
Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 sets real obligations, and clients across the continent are right to ask where records go. We design for data minimisation, clear retention and deployment options that keep sensitive processing where you need it to sit.
Four commitments we will not trade away.
Accessible is the requirement, not the bonus
If a system needs a fast connection, an expensive phone and an English-speaking operator, it has not been built for this market. We design against the constraints that actually exist: intermittent bandwidth, shared devices, prepaid data, multilingual users, power that comes and goes.
Automate the work, not the appearance of work
A dashboard that a manager still has to read and act on has moved the labour, not removed it. We target the whole loop (decision, action, and the follow-up) so that the hours actually come back.
Own it or we have not finished
Every engagement ends with your team able to run, change and extend what we built. Source code, infrastructure definitions, documentation and training are part of the work, not an upsell.
Say what the technology cannot do
There is a lot of money in overstating what AI will do for a business. We will tell you when a model is the wrong tool, when the data is not there yet, and when the honest answer is a simpler piece of software.
Early, and saying so.
Enlobo Ltd was founded in 2026 in Nairobi. We have one system in daily commercial use and capacity for the engagements that come next. You will not find invented client counts or borrowed logos on this site, because a studio that will tell you an uncomfortable truth about your process has to be willing to tell you one about itself.
What we do bring is senior engineering attention on a small number of projects at a time, and a genuine stake in this market working.
